I, also am a member of the working poor. I contribute to the Canada Pension Plan and Employment Insurance....from which I cannot collect, as all my jobs are a hodge-podge of part time hours that effectively block any continuity to amass enough hours to meet the requirements for eligibility. When I "retire"" the CCP will be a meager amount, certainly not enough to meet my basic needs. There are many other women who have worked all their lives that are entering their sunset years with little to sustain them. I suggest that we participate in making changes within the political realms whenever possible, both locally and nationally. Our voices, together can make a difference.

That was very compelling and uplifting because Glenna never gave up. I hope she gets a chance to rest after so much hardship. It's so unjust that someone should work so hard throughout life and have so little in return.
